Stains are everywhere and happen to everyone. Stains are annoying, as they have to be addressed right away, or permanent damage can occur (in the form of discoloration in mild cases to complete distruction in the most extreme). These tips will help you to become a mortal enemy of the stain.
Most permanent stains would not have been permanent if they were taken care of quickly. The more stain you can remove before having to resort to paper towels or other cleaners, the better off you are. This is not always an option, as you may not always see a mess when it happens.
Every type of cleaner has its own purpose. Make sure you read the product and the label to determine when and where you should use it. If used improperly, the cleaner may end up doing damage as well as the stain.
Sometimes, all you need is a dust pan and broom to clean up a mess. As long as you have one in your home, you can prevent most types of solid particles from being imbedded into your carpet or couches. Try this method first, as most messes can be removed by using these "ancient" tools.
