The entertainment room can turn into a giant rat's nest of wires if you have a lot of electronics hanging around. Wrapping up these cords is a very simple process, and can also lead to increased floor space and a safer walking space.
At the bare minimum, hide your cords behind things in your room. This will prevent people from tripping on them, and will also give others the impression that you are extremely organized. Just be prepared to deal with a mess if you have to go back there...
Twist ties can be very effective in wrapping up cords. Grab a bunch of cords together, and just wrap the twist tie around it. Keep twisting the twist tie around until tight. If you can, leave the tied cords in a reachable spot, in the event you have to move or replace the cords or equipment.
To be extremely tight, you can wrap the cords using plastic wrap (like the plastic handcuffs), or plastic twist ties that are rippable. The only disadvantage to these are that they are permanent and need to be cut in the event you need to remove them.
