Rensselaer's Department of Language, Literature, and Communication is one of the foremost leaders in the study of scientific and technical communication. The department also exhibits extraordinary prowess in the fields of rhetoric, communication, composition, graphics, and literary theory and criticism.
The knowledge and experience of the LL&C faculty contribute to academia and the business world by fervently pursuing research in communication, rhetoric, and human-computer interaction. Supporting research in these areas are a number of facilities, including the Social and Behavioral Research Laboratory.
