This project was an attempt to cultivate an interest in cleaning, communication, and popular web forums into one coherent package. This project utilizes the PHP environment and also MediaWiki as a means to create a forum for people to talk about anything remotely connected to cleaning. The rest of the site was created in CSS and Photoshop.
Working on this project greatly increased my knowledge of the web and these technologies which power the Kommunities. This was my first real use of PHP and MediaWiki, which were both surprisingly easy to set up and use. In addition, this project also taught me about the importance of checking how a site looks and feels on different computers. This is where the power of CSS comes in, and it made this project much easier. This site is deserving of a redesign, and I look forward to iterating upon this design in both visual and backend forms. This also was a solo project, but I would also like to see if I can team up with anyone to improve upon this project.
