This project was a way for the Rensselaer Dance Dance Revolution Club to be able to communicate to the public and its members. There were many times the officers had to send email and announcements around, but a website helped to reduce the burden on the officers for critical pieces of information. This website also helped to serve as a means to draw new members in, as they could see what types of events and fun the club had in store.
This website served as a test for me. This project was a solo project, but also it was something that is expected of a formal club to have. Combining the schedule of a hectic undergraduate career while being an officer of this club also made this project strapped for time. But these pressures helped me to focus on what was absolutely necessary for the club to have, and also for future officers to have as well. In the future, I would like to work on more projects like this one, as the time pressures honed my web skills and also made me boil down the design to something minimalistic, as the club needed a channel of communication, rather than something artistic and long-winded.
