This project was my senior thesis in my undergraduate at RPI. This site shows the work I did for my thesis: originally created music and steps for the popular video game Dance Dance Revolution. There were techno tracks, and some created in other styles of music as well. The music was created in Reason and Audacity, while the steps for the songs were created inside of StepMania, a free emulator of the popular video game. I also created the HTML and CSS from scratch, and used Photoshop for the necessary image processing. I also learned how to embed videos onto the website to show people playing the steps I had created.
This project was tough, but fun. The combination of working in so many different environments brought its own set of challenges, but I took the necessary time to learn them, as in the end, players and viewers of the website care about how it looks and performs. This project was also rewarding because I also learned how to work with different sets of people to be able to make this happen, and also learn different approaches of how to work from my friends. I would definitely take the time to make another project like this one.
