Background

This project was geared towards giving a refresh to the Department of Language, Literature, and Communication at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

My responsibilities as a designer involved helping to structure content and create possible screens for design reviews.

What I learned

• Larger sites and experiences benefit from structuring content before creating screens
• Without scoping expectations, the design process takes longer to complete and can spin out of control
• Models and storyboards help to show structured content for design reviews
